All Bell helmets are finished with a tough polyurethane coating that resists scratches. When cleaning the exterior of your helmet, use only the highest quality products used for automotive finishes. It is up to the consumer to take great care of their helmet to ensure that no accidental damage occurs to the helmet that could compromise the safety factor of the helmet. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents on the exterior of your helmet.
The inside of the helmet is often susceptible to dirt and excess moisture. When cleaning the inside of your helmet, use only mild soap and water with a cloth to hand wash the interior fit pad. When the inside of the helmet has become wet, allow it to dry before putting it away for storage. We recommend properly drying and cleaning your helmet after each use to ensure the best possible level of comfort.
